Passion fruit
Passion fruit, also known as passion fruit, maracuja, or granadilla, is a tart, fragrant exotic fruit native to South America, derived from the Passiflora...
Originally from Central America, pineapple became known in Europe following the first voyages of Christopher Columbus. Considered the king of tropical fruit, it was called pineapple by the English for its resemblance to a pine cone and for its heart full of juice that resembles an apple. In other languages, including Italian, it took the name of ananas, from the Paraguayan nana (anana), which means excellent fruit.
Its unique taste lends itself perfectly to the preparation of fruit salads but can also be used in the preparation of sweet and sour sauces and is the protagonist of refined combinations in cuisines all over the world.
